Radio Flyer Pathfinder Wagon – A Gift to Enjoy for Years to Come

December 5th, 2008 | 1 Comment | Posted in Tips

Radio Flyer has been a household name for 100 years, putting smiles on children’s faces worldwide.  One product, a small red wagon, has been treasured by children for many generations  These wagons are so cool, kids are able to them for so many different things. Parents use them to carry their children around as well as to haul different things from place to place.   The Radio Flyer Pathfinder Wagon is a wonderful step into the 21st century from this company everyone knows and loves.

The Pathfinder Wagon has a 360-degree pivotal point on the front end, which prevents tip-overs while allowing for tight and easy turns.   The Pathfinder still has the durable and silent running rubber tires, hard caste plastic body and retractable seating for two along with a generous size of 36″ x 17″ x 17″. Heavy-duty casters live up to their reputation as Radio Flyer products, allowing the wagon to take a tight curve without overturning.  The wagon even comes with cup holders!  There is ample room for storage as the sides fold up and down, as well as storage room in the foot well.  The extra long handle will stay upright when not in use, allowing for safety for the little ones.

The Pathfinder Wagon has nearly 100% good reviews, usually receiving five out of five stars, as with most products from Radio Flyer.  The Pathfinder can sometimes hold up to three children, lauded for it’s easy assembly from easy to understand instructions.  The cup holders are a smash hit with kids and adults alike.  The ride and steering of this wagon are handled well and with the rubber wheels, handles much quieter than the Pathfinder’s cheap counterparts.  There’s not a single working piece that will pinch little fingers.  “There is a little slot on the underside of the rear of the wagon it is easy to drag and put up over curbs. It is also very easy to push and get the kids in and out of, it has replaced my double stroller” Said one customer.  Did I mention that the seats have seatbelts?  Yes.  Seatbelts – you got it!  No more accidental dumping of children out of the wagon while going up and down hills, curbs, and bumps.  Pure safety, I tell ya.

One other advantage of the Radio Flyer Pathfinder Wagon is that it can change as your children develop.  While your baby is growing into a big girl or boy they can learn to pull the wagon all by themselves.  The kids can turn it into a racecar, a rocket ship or maybe a train.  The wagon can take them to sights previously unseen.  The parents can take over the usage of the wagon, as the “big” girl or boy grows into the “I’m-no-longer-a-kid” stage.  It’s great for carting a picnic here or there or gardening projects throughout your yard.  Being plastic, it is easy to take care of and cleaning is as simple as hosing it down. For the ultimate gift that can keep giving generation from generation, pick the Pathfinder Wagon.  You’ll be glad you did.

FurReal Biscuit My Lovin Pup is a Child’s Best Friend

November 25th, 2008 | 1 Comment | Posted in Tips

Most kids want a dog at some point during their childhood. However, there are many families who aren’t able to have a pet and often for very good reasons. If it’s getting harder to say no to your child’s request for a pet, then Fur Real Friends Biscuit, My Lovin Pup by Hasbro may just be the perfect gift idea.

The adorable Biscuit is a new addition to the FurReal Friends line of toys. This engaging and interactive toy pet is ready to keep your child busy for hours without any special setup required. Biscuit comes complete with collar and tag, dog bone, brush and adoption certificate. He comes programmed with behaviors such as nods, whimpers, barks and tail wagging – all of which are very realistic.

And just like a real dog, Biscuit is able to recognize your child’s voice and execute six commands that include speak, sit and lie down. I think one of the cutest tricks is when Biscuit shakes hands on demand. My newphew likes when Biscuit sits up and begs the best of all of his tricks.

A Few Considerations

Fur Real Friends Biscuit has a soft coat and pleading eyes. Biscuit is nearly two feet high. While most kids will enjoy the fact that is he a large size, this toy will be difficult for smaller children to carry around. Most small children can still enjoy having Biscuit as a pet, but you should be prepared to do most of the moving of Biscuit for your child. Also, when you give this toy to your child, be sure that you have 6 D-sized batteries on hand since they are not included in the package.

Biscuit and How He Works

You may be wondering how Biscuit knows to interact with your child. It’s all in his nine sensors. For example, if you touch his left paw he will raise it to shake hands with you. If he hears the command to speak, Biscuit will give a realistic bark in response. And if something is waved in front of the sensor in his forehead, he will respond by flinching, sneezing or blinking.

Biscuit My Lovin’ Pup is also able to switch to different interactive modes based on how much attention he is getting. After a short while of not being interacted with, Biscuit enters “hangout” mode where he will do some cute behaviors to try to grab your attention. After a further period of non-interaction, he will lay down and go into sleep mode.

With his many sensors and behaviors, it is not difficult to see why this sophisticated, interactive dog is considered to be one of the most innovative toys of the year. With both sounds and movements that are true-to-life, FurReal Friends Biscuit My Lovin Pup is sure to become your child’s new best friend.
