Review of OPENRSM CloudBackup
We’ve recently been keeping an online backup of our family’s computers with OPENRSM CloudBackup. I first heard about CloudBackup from a Google search for (of all things) “Cloud Backup“.
I’ve been okay at keeping a backup with disk, CD, etc. of our family data. But, this is a manual and error prone thing. So, I havn’t done it as consistantly as I should have. Because our backups wern’t offsite we could still lose our data to flood, fire, weather, lightning, or anything else that could destroy our data.
Most of all I like all our photos, music, financial, and other data is always on the online backup so even if the house is robbed, a laptop is stolen, a hard disk crashes, or even if a tornado or fire demolishes the house, our data is safe.
Particular features I like are:
1) Fully automated online backup = Knowing it’s backed up and safe.
2) Your Network Drives include your Backup Stores = Everything is just a copy/paste away.
3) Your backups are encrypted = prying eyes can’t see your data.
4) It makes no difference if it’s a Linux, PC, or MAC = One Solutions covers all our data.
5) Your one account can take care of all your computers.
It’s only 4 dollars / month for OPENRSM CloudBackup with every feature available to me. If you store over 50GB of data you will need to pay a little more. But it’s crazy cheap for a service that takes care of all our computers with one account.
It works so well it’s amazing for online backup.Even though we have a couple PC’s and a MAC it was easy to install and it even keeps the data from each coputer seperate all by itself.
There’s even a bandwidth throttle built in so I can control how much of our broadband connection is used for backups. You can backup everything in just a couple days. All new and edited data will be saved automatically to your online backup.
If you want to get rid of manual backups and all the trouble it causes, do it this way.

Thanks for your recommendations on this blog. 1 thing I wish to say is that often purchasing electronics items over the Internet is certainly not new. Actually, in the past several years alone, the market for online consumer electronics has grown noticeably. Today, you could find practically almost any electronic unit and product on the Internet, ranging from cameras along with camcorders to computer pieces and video games consoles.
